Falls Du Deine V-Strom artgerecht von der Straße "entführen" willst, so schütze in jedem Fall Deinen Motor, also das Bike von unten. Der V-Strom Motor stammt aus einem Straßenbike - Ölfilter, Krümmer und überhaupt alles, was wichtig ist, befindet sich ungeschützt an der Unterseite deines Motorrades. Eine kleine Kante, ein Stein kann schon erhebliche Schäden verursachen.
Da, wo ADAC und Co. erreichbar sind, vielleicht ein kleines Ärgernis. Weiter "draußen" vielleicht eine Katastrophe.
Und genau deswegen finden wir den Motorschutz so wichtig.
Doch an der Serien V-Strom ist - nichts! (Oder nichts Richtiges)
... Und wir haben verstanden, das nicht jeder 1050 XT Fahrer den originalen Sturzbügel ersetzen möchte :-)
Daher haben wir uns für die Lösung entschieden, bei der eine zusätzliche Schutzwanne um und unter den Schutzbügel den 1050 verschraubt wird.
Der Motorschutz ergänzt den originalen Bügel sehr gut, schützt von vorn/ unten die am meisten gefährdeten Bereiche und trägt andererseits nicht zusätzlich an Höhe oder Breite auf - man schlägt also nicht früher ein ... Immerhin ist die Bodenfreiheit einer 1050 sowieso beschränkt.
Und dieser Motorschutz ist komplett verschweißt - das bedeutet tatsächliche Haltbarkeit, wenn Dein über 200kg schwerer Bolide dagegen kracht!
Wir sehen im Zubehörmarkt eine große Anzahl Motorschützer, die "gefaltet" und genietet sind - in unseren Augen Edelschrott zur Show!

If you want to "kidnap" your V-Strom from the street, protect your engine, that is the bike from below. The V-Strom engine comes from a street bike - oil filter, manifold and everything that is important is unprotected on the underside of your motorcycle. A small edge, a stone can cause considerable damage.
Where ADAC and Co. can be reached, maybe a little annoyance. Further "outside" maybe a disaster.
And that is exactly why we find motor protection so important.
But there is nothing about the series V-Strom! (Or nothing right)
... And we understand that not every 1050 XT driver wants to replace the original crash bar :-)
We therefore decided on the solution in which an additional protective trough is screwed around and under the protective bracket of the 1050.
The engine guard complements the original bracket very well, protects the most endangered areas from the front / below and, on the other hand, does not add to the height or width - so you don't hit earlier ... After all, the ground clearance of a 1050 is limited anyway.
And this engine guard is completely welded - that means actual durability if your bike weighing over 200kg crashes against it!
We see a large number of engine guards in the accessories market that are "folded" and riveted - in our eyes, precious scrap to the show!
